Quick and Easy Potato Salad With Mayonaise


Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds potatoes, cooked, peeled, and cubed
  • 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 to 2 tsp onion salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 cup mayonnaise

Preparation:

Potato Salad Recipe Directions: In a large bowl, combine potatoes, green pepper, and onion. Blend remaining ingredients; add to vegetables. Mix well to combine flavors. Cover and refrigerate. Chill potato salad thoroughly before serving.

Fluffy Vegan Pancake - by fwegan (CHOW)


I just found out a magnificent recipe that really healthy from CHOW and for no one ever suspects they are egg and dairy free :)



INGREDIENTS
  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1 cup rice milk

  • 1/3 cup melted vegan margarine or canola oil, plus more for the pan

  • optional: handful of blueberries, chocolate chips, or whatever your heart desires




INSTRUCTIONS
  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add rice milk, margarine or oil, and mix just enough to incorporate. Stir in optional additions.
  3. Cook up some pancakes! (Medium-high flame + cast iron skillet/griddle + little bit of cooking fat + scant ¼ cup batter. Flip when sides look dry.

Well.. you think I might be make a wrong new entry ? Not really, actually chocolate is not as bad as you or people might think.

Since 4000 yes four thousand years ago, the Aztec and Maya people from South America believe that chocolate has the aphrodisiac benefits. Chocolate can also invigorate the body. Research experts have confirmed that the chocolate fat, including good fat, which keeps both your heart health.

  • Chocolate contain flavonoid and catechin, also Omega-6 and Omega-9 that reduce bad cholesterol, prevent heart attack and stroke.
  • Chocolate trigger the serotonin and amfetamine production.


Hershey's Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Ingredients :

1 litre Vanilla Ice cream
1 cup Hershey's Semi Sweet Mini Chocolate Chips

Instructions :

Put 2 cups of Vanilla Ice Cream in the bowl, chop the Hershey's Semi Sweet Mini Chocolate Chips and put on top of the ice ice cream. Add some Hershey's Chocolate Syrup as special serving. So simple ..

General tips storing food in the freezer



  • The best temperature in freezing food is minus 18 degrees C. Check your freezer out. If the lowest temperature more than minus 18 degrees C, your frozen food quality will not be optimum.
  • Never...ever refrozen your frozen food after you've melted it. The melted process is potential to be contaminated. It will degrade your frozen food quality. Refrozen food could destroy the texture of the food itself and it will not juicy anymore.
  • Please do not store your food when it's still hot, it could increase the temperature inside the freezer and will damage the other frozen foods inside your fridge.
  • Storing the food in the freezer will guarantee the freshness until a few months. But the longer your frozen food is kept, the more risk your frozen food cell membrane will destroyed.

Carrot Brownies The Exotic Brownies

The Carrot Brownies

I have one exotic brownies recipe, it's exotic because I use carrots rather than flour.

Ingredients :

300 gr dark cooking chocolate
25 gr flour sugar
75 gr margarine
75 gr unsalted butter
5 eggs (the red part only)
75 gr grated carrots
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
75 gr almond powder
5 eggs (the white part, mixing until stiff)
25 gr sliced almond, baked

Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
  • Steam the dark cooking chocolate, add the sugar, margarine and butter. Stir well
  • Add eggs (the red one) one by one. Stir well
  • Add grated carrots, cinnamon, almond powder, and eggs (white parts). Stir it with rubber spatula. Pour into prepared pan
  • Put the sliced almond on top of it
  • Bake in the preheated oven in 50 minutes with au bain marie way.

Au bain marie : (also known as a water bath) is a French term for a piece of equipment used in science, industry, and cooking to heat materials gently and gradually to fixed temperatures, or to keep materials warm over a period of time

Healthy Snack
